WARNING ABOUT CELLTECH AT GALLERIA DALLAS
My 17 year old sister came in with a cracked iPhone screen that was still fully functional. A girl in a purple tracksuit working there aggressively upsold us on phone cases, mocked our current cases, and convinced my sister to do a $110 screen replacement because they claimed they could “discount” accessories too.
Before repair, their own checklist confirmed:
• phone powered on
• LCD/touch worked
• cameras worked
• Face ID worked
• no water damage
After the first repair attempt, the new screen looked terrible. The front camera looked distorted like a fisheye lens, the screen sat raised off the phone, and it honestly looked like a cheap privacy screen instead of a proper display. Even one of their own employees admitted it “didn’t look right.”
They repeatedly removed and replaced the screen multiple times using different parts while we waited. After several failed attempts, they told us they would put the original cracked screen back on and demanded $45 labor. Then the manager tried negotiating us down to $20 so the technician could “make money for the hour.”
During the process, the technician grabbed the phone from my sister’s hand and aggressively started taking tools and pliers to the phone to remove the replacement screen. After that, green and yellow lines appeared across the display and now the phone will not even turn on.
Mall security and police had to get involved because all three employees became rude and argumentative toward two young girls simply trying to get our phone returned in the condition it was brought in.
We never paid because the phone was returned in WORSE condition than before the repair.
This was an extremely unprofessional experience and I would strongly recommend people avoid getting repairs done here.
